To Hillary Clinton, Thank You

The citizens of USA have chosen their next president and without fail the world took notice. As a matter of fact, we were not just noticing but we were deeply invested in the outcome of the elections. We were invested in the progress and future USA will bring to the world. If they sneeze, we will catch the cold.

Alas, this journal entry is not about the next Commander in Chief. This entry is a brief retrospective moment on Hillary Clinton for being an excellent exemplar, especially for women everywhere to achieve their own dreams. From the very beginning she pushed all the limitations that come with being a woman with ambitions beyond the traditional gender roles. For years she has proven that women can make a difference over the boundaries of their household and for sure the failure of becoming president will not stop her on making better changes in the society.

So we want to extend our gratitude to Hillary Clinton to put all of her efforts and energy in believing what is best and striving to achieve those beliefs. We want to especially thank her for comforting us when she should be the one getting consoled. Thank you Hillary for saying:

“For all the women – especially the young women, who put your faith in me – I want you to know that nothing has made me prouder than to be your champion.

Now I know we have still not shattered that highest and hardest glass ceiling- but someday someone will, and hopefully sooner than we might think right now.

And to all the little girls who are watching this: never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance in the world to pursue your dreams.”

Thank you Hillary Clinton for writing your own narrative so we know how to write our own. Now we continue to fight as nothing ends here.
